1. Floating Candles
You'll need:
- kitchen paper rolls
- craft knife
- hot glue gun
- golden spray paint
- LED tea lights
- black thread
Cut a kitchen paper roll into two halves. Then use a hot glue gun to apply glue to one end of the roll so that it looks like wax is running down from the top.
Apply a layer of glue around the inside edge at that end. Once the glue has dried, spray the roll with golden paint.
As soon as the paint is dry, place an LED tea light in the glued end of the roll.
Now cut off a long piece of thread and glue the ends to on opposite sides of the roll at the end where the tea light is inserted. You can then hang up your homemade candle using the thread.
That's all there is to it!
2. Lit Pumpkins
You'll need:
- different large pumpkins for each design (e.g. Rocket, Neon, Early Harvest, Howden or Aspen)
- luminescent paint in different colors
- pencil with eraser
- paintbrush
- decorative spiders
We've come up with three different designs to light up your pumpkins at night.
The first design is really simple. First place the pumpkin on a covered surface before carefully pouring different types of luminescent paint on top of it. Some of the paint will mix and run down the grooves on the side of the pumpkin.
For the second design, you'll need a paintbrush to paint a spider web on the pumpkin. Once dried, place several decorative spiders on the glow-in-the-dark web for the final touch.
The third design hits the spot. Use the eraser on the end of a pencil to press luminescent paint all over the pumpkin's surface. Repeat this process with other colors.
Check out how great they look when you switch the lights off!
3. Evil Eyes
You'll need:
- kitchen paper roll
- nail scissors
- duct tape
- glow stick
You'll also need kitchen paper rolls for the evil eyes. After you've cut the roll in half, use a pencil to draw a pair of monster's eyes on it. Cut them out using the nail scissors.
Now bend a glow stick and place it inside the roll.
To stop the glow stick from falling out, seal both ends using the duct tape.
Once it's dark enough, the evil eyes are sure to give your guests a shock when they enter your home.
