Study Says Going Vegan Is the Best Way to Save
the Earth A University of Oxford study has revealed that going vegan is the "single biggest way" to reduce your environmental impact. Opting out of meat and dairy can cut your food-carbon footprint by 73%. If everyone went vegan, 75% less farmland would need to be used globally. This would reduce carbon emissions and recover lands that have been taken from native species. Because they are so resource-intensive, meat and dairy are the most unsustainable foods. They account for 60% of agricultural greenhouse gases, offering just 18% of calories and 37% of protein worldwide. Joseph Poor, Study author, via 'Independent'
