The Seoul Metropolitan Government has opened a fine dust research institute to oversee efforts to reduce the effects of environmental pollution in the capital.
The center will manage cooperative studies between three research institutes in Seoul.
They will share their findings on a regular basis and select urgent problems to work on together.
The institute also plans to seek international cooperation with other Northeast Asian cities, including Beijing.
