We are incredibly excited that Nadiya Hussain is our August 2016 cover star. Since being crowned Great British Bake Off's 2015 champion, she has certainly had a hectic schedule.
Not only has she been busy writing two cookbooks, Nadiya's Kitchen, and Nadiya's Bake Me a Story: Fifteen stories and recipes for children (out in September), she is also in the process of writing a fiction book, and starring in her own TV documentary The Chronicles of Nadiya.
Not to mention the fact that she's also recently baked the Queen's 90th birthday cake.
'Nadiya has gone from unknown to baking for the Queen in under a year, she’s a phenomenon,' says Lindsay Nicholson, Editor of Good Housekeeping. 'We were delighted to invite her to Good Housekeeping, share cooking tips with her and photograph her for the cover of our August issue.'
Speaking exclusively to Good Housekeeping, Nadiya opens up about her arranged marriage, baking for royalty and how her family life has changed since winning the show.
