41 people killed after burning plane lands in Moscow

Forty-one people on board a Russian Aeroflot plane died after the plane caught fire and was forced to make an emergency landing at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport on May 5, 2019. The Russia-made Sukhoi Superjet 100 carrying 73 passengers and five crew members requested to return shortly after take-off from the Russian capital. The plane was on a domestic route heading to the northwest city of Murmansk.
