This is live music at it's best. From the Jam perform "In the City" which was the debut single by English mod band, The Jam. This was their first single to chart in the UK Top 40 reaching No. 40 in 1977. The song is a celebration of youth in the big city and of what Paul Weller called the "young idea", reflecting Weller's optimism for the punk movement. While this was only a minor hit on the charts, the song was the UK's first introduction to The Jam and the start of the Bands input on the songs that helped catalyse the mod revival.

This performance comes from the "From the Jam - A 1st Class Return" concert Live at the Forum in December 2007. From the Jam kick off at full speed, each one complimenting the other and the material as fresh as when it was at the top of the UK Charts! They turned a chilly night in North London into a rhythm inferno, and in doing so, rewrite modern world anthems for the 21st century!

From the Jam line up:
Bruce Foxton - Bass Guitar, Acoustic Guitar and Vocals.
Rick Buckler - Drums.
Russell Hastings - Lead Vocals, Guitar and Acoustic Guitar.
Dave Moore - Guitar, Bass, Keyboards and Backing Vocals.
