Tensions continue to mount over fast-track legislation

Now, over at the National Assembly, ...
the stand off continues through the weekend... with the main opposition Liberty Korea blocking any attempts by the ruling Democratic Party and other minor opposition parties... to put key reform bills on fast-track.
Two parliamentary committees on Friday attempted to fast-track four bills,... including one on electoral reform,... and another to create an independent body to investigate corruption among high ranking public officials,... but failed on fierce resistance from the Liberty Korea Party.
The conservative party says... the country's election laws have been revised only through broad consensus in the past,... not through political deals made by several party members.
