Delhi Police does U-turn, opposes Kanhaiya’s bail plea

Three days after he said police will not oppose JNU students’ union president Kanhaiya Kumar’s bail petition, Police Commissioner B S Bassi Tuesday did a U-turn and said police would oppose his bail as circumstances in the case had “changed”. “The circumstances when I had said so, those have totally changed,” Bassi told reporters.Meanwhile, during an interview with a TV channel, Bassi said questioning the sedition charges against anti-nationals is a “blasphemous act”.
