Being loyal to the movement best tribute: Geelani

Srinagar: Hurriyat(G) Syed Ali Geelani Wednesday while paying rich tributes to Mohammad Maqbool Butt on his 32nd “martyrdom” anniversary said that he was a brave and courageous “pro-freedom person” who wronged the assumptions about the Kashmiri nation and after centuries of slavery brought them “face to face with their enemy”. These sympathisers clashed with rival students group ABVP, when they tried to oppose it. The treacherous act has been caught on camera; the proof is out in the open; but no action has been taken either by the police or the JNU administration. The big questions are—in the name of democracy can students be allowed to provoke anti-national sentiments? Did the pro-separatist student groups mislead JNU by seeking permission in name of cultural evening?
