17-year-old author from Karnataka returns state Sahitya award

17-year-old Muddu Thirthahalli, who has authored five novels, has now returned her Karnataka Sahitya Akademi award. Condemning the killing of senior Kannada writer MM Kalburgi, she has said she was "pained" that the killers of Kalburgi had not yet been caught and punished.
