The biggest 'unity' debate has begun finally, questions will be asked by the high court as to why the state of Jammu and Kashmir should be accorded special status.
It's a debate that is feverishly resisted by parties in the state of Jammu and Kashmir who claim that Article 370 which accords special status to the state is above
all question as expunging it will sever the state from the Indian union.
Those opposed to this point of view claim that this explanation is a clever attempt at deception.
They say that these parties have resisted any attempt at revoking special status for Kashmir because it will erode their stranglehold over the state.
That appeasing a particularly virulent anti-India constituency matters more to these parties than seeing.
