Senior IPS officer facing rape allegations refuses to give assent for lie-detector test

Senior IPS officer Sunil Paraskar, accused of rape by a model, has refused to undergo a lie detector test in the case, even as the complainant has indicated her consent for the same.
Paraskar conveyed his refusal to the crime branch on Saturday, said an official. "It is Paraskar's right to refuse," the official said. The victim has expressed her assent to the police, saying she was 'willing to take any test to prove her charges', a source said.
