New Delhi: Some students of Delhi University filed a complaint on Thursday stating that they were filmed in the university's washroom by an unidentified person. The police questioned university staffers and other students and scanned their mobile phones on the basis of the information provided by the girls, who are doing their post graduation.

The girls alleged that they had spotted a person filming them with a mobile phone while they were using the washroom around 12.30pm. When they came out and tried to catch the man, he escaped through the window. The girls then raised an alarm after which other students also gathered. The police was informed immediately.

A case has been registered under section 354C of IPC at Maurice Nagar police station, north Delhi. Investigations are on to identify the accused and sections of IT Act could be added to the FIR if the accused are found to have circulated the MMS clip, a police officer said.
