Lets talk now about the recent incident involving Attorney General Goolam E Vahanvati, who received a call from a woman pretending to be Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi. Well, NewsX has accessed details of the hoax call.
On September 5, when Sonia was in the US for a medical check up, a woman claiming to be the Congress chief spoke to the AG and sought to bully him into going on leave and also suggested a replacement.
The call lasted for ten minutes, where it was conveyed to the Attorney General that there were several cases the AG was handling which were causing controversy which might hamper the Congress' political prospects.
