2G Scam Case: Anil Ambani appears as prosecution witness in the case

Anil Ambani appears as a CBI witness in the 2G scam case with the Supreme Court as the SC refraining from passing any order and the trial court dismissed his plea for deferring his deposition.
Earlier Special Judge OP Saini dismissed the plea of Reliance Telecommunications Limited against the summoning of Anil Ambani and his wife Tina Ambani as prosecution witnesses and said the "examination of Anil Ambani as a witness would not cause any prejudice to the accused facing trial in the case.
Earlier, Anil, who was scheduled to depose in the court on July 26, had moved a plea for exemption from personal exemption on the grounds that he has "pre-scheduled" business engagements. The court had also issued summons to Tina Ambani for recording her statement on August 23.
