NewsX: BJP General Secretary murdered in Tamil Nadu

NewsX: On Friday night, V Ramesh was hacked to death by unidentified assailants near his house in Salem. Police claim that the 52-year-old was attacked with sharp-edged weapons and he died on the spot. Identity of the assailants and the motive for the attack are under investigation. Ramesh was appointed party spokesperson for the state only earlier this week.
He is the second senior party functionary in Tamil Nadu to be murdered in the last nine months. In October, last year, BJP state medical wing secretary Dr V Aravind was killed in front of his clinic in Vellore. BJP state President is crying foul over the recent murders. Besides holding a demonstration today, the party will hold a bandh on July 22.
