The miners plundering India's resources are twisting almost every rule and law in their drive to grab and sell as much of India's invaluable natural resources in the international market. One of the most blatant abuses of the law is the manner in which small time operators with no expertise but very strong political connections are granted mining rights. These fly-by-night companies then sub-let the mines at a profit to the major companies who really need them. All this in clear violation of the Mineral Concession rules.
