TACLOBAN CITY - Traffic going to and from typhoon-hit Tacloban City has worsened as large vehicles are now able to enter the city from Samar. A report by DZMM correspondent Robert Maño said traffic from Maharlika Highway to downtown Tacloban took 8 hours early Tuesday. Moderate rains hit the city Tuesday morning, allowing residents to gather rainwater for drinking. In downtown Tacloban, some residents are also gathering water from damaged water lines. The rain also caused knee-deep flood in Maharlika Highway. The report said some residents have removed the tires from taxis that were swept away by the flood near San Juanico Bridge last Friday. A ship that was marooned in Barangay Diit was also ransacked; its cargo of rice taken by hungry residents. The report said authorities are having a hard time reaching Barangay Diit, which is far from downtown Tacloban. ANC DATELINE PHILIPPINES, November 12, 2013
