Pak Dr. Khalil Chisti released from Ajmer jail-NewsX

After 20 long years of conviction, Dr Khalil Chisti finally walked out of Ajmer jail today. The 80-year-old ailing microbiologist was convicted for life in a murder but was granted bail by the Supreme Court on humanitarian grounds on Monday. Chisti who was convicted in 1992, but was incarcerated in Ajmer Jail since February last year was granted bail just 24 hours after the visit of PakistanI President Asif Ali Zardari to India.
