Voting has come to an end for the fifth round of U.P assembly elections in 49 constituencies in 13 districts. The voter turnout has been above 55 percent. 840 candidates are in the fray for a contest in which the stakes are high for the Samajwadi Party. The party hopes to make huge gains in the Yadav dominant belt of Central U.P, which gave the maximum number of seats to the BSP last time.
