BJP wants to keep alliance with JD(U)

India News: BJP today emphasised that it wanted its alliance with JD(U) to continue, saying it was needed for opposition unity. Back-channel confabulations between top brass of BJP and JD(U) are on since Wednesday to save the alliance which has been shaky since Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was anointed head of its election campaign committee.

BJP veteran leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "we all want to keep alliance and its an urge to our ally that alliance is necessary."
