A woman was recently rescued after a snowplow in South Lake Tahoe, California, reportedly bumped into her buried car, which was illegally parked on the side of a street, notes CNN. The Associated Press reports that, according to city spokesperson Chris Fiore, the woman inside was discovered as the plow driver shoveled around the car so it could be towed. He saw her place her hand on the window and immediately called rescue workers. According to Reno Gazette-Journal, the woman said she'd been stuck in there for five hours, though officials note the amount of snow on top of the roof suggests otherwise. Authorities believe she is homeless and had been living inside the car.  She did ultimately walk away from the incident without injury, but Fiore told CNN: "If we had not gotten to her, I'm afraid this story would have a very different ending."
