President Trump on Monday urged "angry" Democrats to "have some fun." "The Democrats are so self righteous and ANGRY! Loosen up and have some fun," Trump said via Twitter. "The Country is doing well!" Roughly an hour earlier, he wrote: "The Democrats do not want us to detain, or send back, criminal aliens! This is a brand new demand. Crazy!" And the day prior, Trump tweeted: "It was a very bad week for the Democrats, with the GREAT economic numbers, The Virginia disaster and the State of the Union address. Now, with the terrible offers being made by them to the Border Committee, I actually believe they want a Shutdown. They want a new subject!"
Trump's negative tone seems to be in line with a recent Washington Post report which says: "Bipartisan talks aimed at resolving the border wall dispute and averting a government shutdown Friday have broken down and are at an impasse."
