Tomi Lahren: Ocasio-Cortez's Social Media Success Not Same As Being 'Successful In Real Life'

Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren on Thursday took a jab at Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren on Thursday noted that Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's social media success is not the same as being successful in "real life."  Her comment came during an appearance on 'Fox & Friends' and followed a question about whether the success of Ocasio-Cortez, a Democratic socialist, is inspiring some Democrats to move further to the left.
"There's a difference between being successful on Twitter and social media like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and being relatable on social media platforms, and actually being successful in real life," Lahren replied. Notably, by many people's standards, 29-year-old Ocasio-Cortez is plenty "real-life" successful, beating a 10-term House incumbent in the primaries and becoming the youngest woman ever elected to Congress.  She also has a significant presence on social media and recently used it to support singer and fellow Bronx native Cardi B, who was engaged in a Twitter war with Lahren.
Ocasio-Cortez wrote: "Why do people think they can mess with Bronx women without getting roasted? They act as though our borough hasn't been perfecting the clapback game since the Sugarhill Gang? y'all just found it on Twitter."  "Aren't you the same girl who whines about Trump inciting violence?" Lahren shot back. "Now you applaud it because it's against a female conservative you disagree with politically? Convenient. P.S. I do fully acknowledge @iamcardib is smarter than YOU."
