Footing Shimming Steel Plates

It was determined that the foundation footing settled due to moisture depletion in the soil leaving the foundation bridging itself and supported by the back fill materials up against the foundation walls. In order to expose the foundation we were required to shim the void between the foundation footing and the foundation wall using steel plates in order to negate the opportunity for the foundation walls to settle further and closing the separation between foundation and footing. - https://thefoundationexperts.com/
