Work on Beijing’s new airport has passed another major milestone after a three-year job to build a metal roof over the main terminal was completed. The airport, located in the Chinese capital’s southern Daxing District, is now expected to open by October 2019. When fully operational with planned expansions, the facility will handle as many as 100 million passengers each year.
