Tumblr Gets Rid Of NSFW Content

In an internet full of increasingly, depressingly right-wing communities in spaces like Twitter and YouTube and Reddit, I always appreciated Tumblr as a social media that seemed to have progressive values baked into its DNA. It wasn’t without problems, that’s what happens when a bunch of fandom-obsessed children just figuring out their political identities all gather in the same space. But Tumblr’s heart always felt like it was in the right place, and a large part of that was due to the open, expressive, and inclusive approach to a spectrum of sexualities permitted in the user-submitted content.
