It's Christmas Eve in Slaton, New York, but a few unfortunate police officers are still on duty at the local station. They busy themselves with paperwork until their shifts end and they can go home to their loved ones. That's the plan, anyway.

A creepy drifter, THE TRAVELER, enters the station and disturbs the peace. He immediately confesses to having murdered six people -- calls himself Mr. Nobody. The resident detective, MR. BLACK, whisks him away to an interrogation room. He's skeptical of the man's claim, but proceeds with an interrogation anyway.

It becomes quickly apparent that The Traveler is deeply disturbed. He starts to confess to one of his alleged murders and details it down to the last scream. Just then, a SCREAM tears throughout the entire station. Mr. Black and other officers investigate and discover one of their men is dead in the bathroom. The details surrounding the murder correspond nicely with Mr. Nobody's confession.

On edge, Mr. Black and the four remaining officers discuss how Mr. Nobody reminds them of a DRIFTER they took into custody a year ago. The drifter was last seen with Mr. Black's murdered daughter, MARY. The officers wrongly suspected the drifter of the crime and beat him into a coma while trying to elicit a confession. All this was off the books; they never even knew the man's name. He was a Nobody who later died in the hospital.

The officers now realize who they are dealing with and take notable precautions to protect themselves from what they deem a supernatural force. Regardless, Mr. Nobody continues with his confessions and, one by one, they are all killed in horrific fashion. They don't even have to be in the same room as Mr. Nobody; his words alone orchestrate their demise.

Five murders later, Mr. Black stands alone. Mr. Nobody wants to take his time with him. After all, it was his daughter Mr. Nobody was wrongly accused of killing...but was he wrongly accused? As they face off, Mr. Nobody reveals that he was the killer and offers irrefutable evidence supporting his claim. Confused and infuriated, Mr. Black retreats to his office. He awaits certain death as Mr. Nobody, a seemingly unstoppable force, follows after him all the while whistling an eerie tune.

A vision of Mary appears next to her father, huddled beneath his desk. She offers him reassurances and tells him the only thing that will stop Mr. Nobody is his name, which when spoken aloud will undermine his existence.

Armed with this new piece of information, Mr. Black stands up to Mr. Nobody when he arrives. Their gazes lock and Mr. Black speaks the name Bobby La Frey. Mr. Nobody's smile fades. He steps backwards as Mr. Black fires a shotgun that successfully hits Mr. Nobody and sends him flying out a window, killing him once and for all.
