According to Deadspin, the game was not delayed, but smoke was visible above the court before tip-off. LeBron James, whose Lakers were playing in Sacramento that night, said he could “smell the smoke.” Lakers center JaVale McGee, who has asthma, says his stomach was in pain before the game started.
