Underground escalator breaks down in Rome

Twenty people were hurt after an escalator malfunctioned and rapidly sped downward at a metro station in Rome, Italy, on Tuesday.

It left passengers in a mess at the bottom, and the escalator steps mangled.

Most of those involved in the accident were Russian soccer fans on their way to attend a match.
