Sajid Javid apologises for immigrant DNA tests

The Home Secretary issued an apology in the House of Commons on Thursday to immigrants who had been illegally required to provide DNA samples as part of their visa application. More than 130 cases showed that the Home Office had demanded DNA samples. The law states that the provision of DNA by applicants should be voluntary and never obligatory. Report by Jonesia.
