Gusts of winds up to 150mph caused havoc across Florida on Wednesday (October 10), seen here as a large tree toppled onto a nearby powerline in the Bay County area.

The tree next to his house eventually gave way and can be seen slowly toppling down and uprooting completely, crushing the adjacent powerlines.

The filmer sought refuge on his porch as the rain and stormy wind can be seen hammering down on local houses and the surrounding area.

Hurricane Michael has since been downgraded to a Tropical Storm and has progressed from the Floridian panhandle, and made its way north to the Carolinas and Georgia.
