The Magic Duet es un dúo compuesto por Maximiliano Balboa en voces y guitarras y Jeremías Gugliotti en flauta traversa y sintetizadores, ambos de Luján de Cuyo. Conjunto a la formación de Jardín Secreto, una banda a la cual ambos pertenecen se formó este dúo con la idea de lograr un proyecto paralelo más versátil. El nombre surge de la casualidad de que en el calendario maya ambos son magos blancos, por ende El Dúo Mágico. Hace ya unos 4 años que vienen sonando y si bien su primer escenario siempre fue la calle no tardaron en concretar toques en fiestas privadas, resto-bares, ferias y festivales tales como el Medieval Fest que se hace en Vallecitos todos los años y en el cual estarán participando por cuarto año consecutivo. No hay un género específio que los defina, su música es muy versátil y camaleónica abarcando así fusiones entre el jazz, el rock, el pop, la música oriental y demás. Han llevado su proyecto de gira por Córdoba, San Luis, Buenos Aires y Chile, sus composiciones no se limitan ni siquiera lingüísticamente ya que cuentan con varios temas compuestos en inglés. Por nombrar algunas de sus influencias podemos citar a Los Beatles, Spinetta, The Cure, David Bowie, Charly García, Jim Morrison y algunos más. Su propósito más inmediato es transmitir cada vez a más gente el amor y la entrega que tienen hacia la música, considerada por ellos mismos, no sólo un lenguaje universal de expresión artística y creativa, sino también un importante agente revolucionario de cambio social e individual.
The Magic Duet is composed by Maximiliano Balboa in voices and guitars and Jeremías Gugliotti in transverse flute and synthesizers, both from Luján de Cuyo. Together made the formation Jardín Secreto, a band to which both belong, this duo was formed with the idea of achieving a more versatile parallel project. The name comes from the coincidence that in the Mayan calendar both are white magicians, for that The Magic Duo. They have been playing for about 4 years now and although their first stage was always the street, they did not take long to make touches of private parties, rest-bars, fairs and festivals such as the Medieval Fest that takes place in Vallecitos every year and in the which will be participating for the fourth consecutive year. There is no specific genre that defines them, their music is very versatile and chameleonic, they cover fusions between jazz, rock, pop, oriental music and so on. They have taken their tour project through Córdoba, San Luis, Buenos Aires and Chile, their compositions are not limited even linguistically as they have several songs composed in English. To name some of his influences we can mention The Beatles, Spinetta, The Cure, David Bowie, Charly Garcia, Jim Morrison and some more. Its most immediate purpose is to transmit to more and more people the love and devotion they have towards music, considered by them, not only a universal language of artistic and creative expression, but also an important revolutionary agent of social and individual change.
