Giovani Cidreira began his musical career in 2006, as vocalist of the band Velotroz.
Since then, he has developed his work as a composer and arranger, based on a hybrid of contemporary rock with clear influences of Brazilian popular music from the seventies, as well as contemporary sounds from the most diverse localities.
His work, essentially autobiographical, dialogues directly with literature, audiovisual and visual arts, mixing the diverse cultural elements that make up his repertoire.
In November 2014, Giovani Cidreira released the first record of his songs as a solo artist. An EP with simpler and more pop language, it mixes with a melancholic universe that is present in the seven tracks. All songs are about love and nostalgia, the reunion of Giovani with the interior, specifically with the cities of Cachoeira and Santo Amaro.
His first album, 'Japanese Food', released in early April 2017 by the partnership between Natura Musical and Balaclava Records, has been received in an extremely positive way by the press, with highlights on Estadão, Jornal A Tarde (Bahia), Rádo Globo FM (Bahia), O Diário (Paraná), Noisey and Popload.
The release has everything to point Giovani as one of the revelations of contemporary Brazilian music.
