Picanha de Chernobill is a Brazilian rock band that introduces the American blues, Brazilian viola, baião, mandolin and guitar riff's.
Their albums: 'Picanha of Chernobill' (2009) with the recording of the song 'Vá' by brazilian duo Chrystian and Ralf and 'O Velho e O Bar' (2011) recorded after award show in festival 'A Melhor Banda é Daqui' with the song 'Oh Be My Baby, My Baby Blue (So I Can Write Songs About You)' when Picanha de Chernobill had more than 28,000 votes, competing with over 200 bands.
Airon Fidler Films, production company, was created videos to present not only the group's work, as well as other artists whom the band shared stages, all recorded in official clips as 'Velhos Sonhos' and 'Airon Fidler' - teasers, 'video arts' and documentaries - that cites 'Procuro Sonhos no Varal' (2012), documenting shows and tour made by Picanha de Chernobill and Os Vespas, both independent bands.
The band expanded horizons when created a project to bring rock and Brazilian culture to less privileged communities living around violence and poverty. The first very well accepted edition of 'Rock in the Community' was at hilltop Santa Teresa, Porto Alegre.
New ideals led the band for current career in Sao Paulo, now city of the group to spread cultural diversity, multiplying activities in streets as 'Picanha na Rua', project of more than 150 free concerts this year in central region, highlighting memorable moments through performances on the anniversary of 460 years of SP, Virada Cultural and on channel television for debut the song 'Venha Logo, Pegue Esse Trem'.
New album 'Picanha de Chernobill III' will be released in 2016.
