This is the dramatic moment a couple's wedding turns from joy to terror in a second - after the ceremony is hit by a typhoon.

Randy Manaois, 29, and bride Jennifer, 28, are seen walking arm in arm as she prepares to throw the bouquet at the reception. Footage shows them with beaming smiles passing a row of clapping bridesmaid, pop music playing in the background.

But as they reach the top of the dancefloor, a look of concern spreads across their faces as a large crack erupts overhead. Seconds later a deafening rumble of thunder sounds as windows shatter, plunging the room into darkness as the electricity cuts out.

Guests run for cover, screaming as the deadly storm currently wreaking havoc across the country hits the venue, smashing windows and tearing down power cables outside.

Randy said: ''It happened so fast. Everyone was excited and things were moving quickly. Then we heard the sound and there was a flash in the mirrors. There was a big crash above the roof and everything was blacking out. My wife was scared and everyone was panicking. I am thankful that everyone was safe, but we are sorry to all our guests. We did not know that such a tragedy will happen. My wife is still in shock.''

The wedding took place on Friday - a day before Typhoon Ompong, also named Mangkhut, made landfall in the north on Luzon Island in the north of the country. The central region of Metro Manila was experiencing the effects of the approaching super typhoon which has killed dozens of people with its 200mph winds.
