While the area is known as the Goldfields, it's been quite a while since such significant amounts of the precious metal have been found there. According to Fortune, that changed when the team discovered roughly 560 pounds of it, valued at an estimated $10 million.
"I reckon we're just on the fringe of it … and if we get deeper, I reckon we'll find more," Henry Dole, one of the workers, told ABC News.
