A pregnant woman was carried by her relatives through a forest for 4 km in Vijayanagaram district in Andhra Pradesh due to lack of road connectivity. The hospital was 7 km away from the village but she delivered midway and returned. Both, the baby and the mother are safe. People were seen carrying the pregnant woman in a makeshift cloth stretcher, made with the help of bed sheets tied to a bamboo stick after the ambulance service could not commute to the village owing to lack of road connectivity.
