Drake’s ‘In My Feelings’ Video Is Here And Nothing Else Matters
Drake has finally released his long awaited music video for “In My Feelings” and he did not disappoint. We now know who the mystery love interest, Kiki, is, or least she’s portrayed by La La Anthony in the video. Even the creator of the “In My Feelings Challenge” gets a cameo!
In the beginning of the video, Drake is yelled at by Kiki’s mom, played by The Cosby Show‘s Phylicia Rashad, after he shows up at Kiki’s house in the middle of the night to get her back. “I want you to get your Jordans off my walkway!” Phylicia yells. La La nails the role of Kiki, the girl who is over Drake’s BS and wants him to commit or leave her alone.
The video was filmed in New Orleans and features dancers doing the “In My Feelings Challenge,” and even includes the creator, comedian Shiggy. The challenge started in June, when Shiggy uploaded a video of himself doing his signature dance to the song “In My Feelings.” When his followers saw that the lyrics perfectly coordinated with the dance, the challenge took off. Now thousands of people all over the world have done the challenge, and Drake included a lot of their clips in the official music video.
