Chile's Bachelet Picked To Be The United Nation's New Human Rights Chief

According to a report by Reuters, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has chosen former Chilean President Michelle Bachelet to be the world government's new human rights chief. Bachelet now needs approval by the 193-member UN General Assembly. Reuters reports that ambassadors chairing different regional groups at the United Nations were told of the decision on Tuesday by U.N. Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed.
