Facebook Says It's Not 'Actively' Seeking Users' Banking Data Monday's report from the 'Wall Street Journal' alleges that Facebook asked banks to provide user information, including account balances and credit card activity. Facebook approached JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Citigroup and U.S. Bancorp to discuss banking services it could provide for users via Messenger. The social media giant has been under fire after Cambridge Analytica obtained the personal data of 87 million Facebook users.
