Authorities in New Braunfels, Texas recently announced that a much-circulated image of an alligator in an area river is no cause for alarm. It turns out the reptile shown is nothing more than a remote-controlled head. The New Braunfels Police Department called the situation "an unintentional hoax" and noted the fake gator "was used to create photos and videos that you may have seen on Facebook and other social media sites."  It also states, "We hope this eases any fears."
