Gov't collected RM146 million from tourism tax

The government has revealed in parliament that it has collected RM146 million from the tourism tax from September 2017 to June 2018.
This was revealed by Kota Melaka MP Khoo Poay Tiong in the Dewan Rakyat.
He also highlighted how the tax has affected budget hotels that offer rooms for two-digit prices per night.
