Police pursued four jet skis along the River Thames in central London on the evening of August 3.London’s Metropolitan Police (Met) said they responded to reports that jet skis were being “driven at speed” through London, and said they unsuccessfully tried to make the drivers change their course. Officers then broke off their pursuit “for safety reasons,” The Met said tweeted.Multiple UK news outlets compared the incident to a chase scene on the Thames in the 1999 James Bond film The World Is Not Enough.
