Heavy rains sent large waves of floodwater rushing down the normally dry Arroyo Chamiso river in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Monday, July 23, as this video from Santa Fe resident Sam Pearson shows.While the riverbed is usually dry, heavy rains regularly generate erosive floodwaters, according to local media.The Santa Fe Reporter said torrential rains on Monday evening caused flash flooding throughout the city, damaging roads and property.
