According to The Huffington Post, transgender actress Nicole Maines will become television's first transgender superhero after being cast in CW's 'Supergirl'. In the show, she'll play Nura Nal, a humanoid alien, also known as Dream Girl, who can see into the future. Maines was previously featured on the HBO documentary “The Trans List” and has long been an activist for transgender rights. The actress tells Variety, "It feels fitting to say, ‘With great power, comes great responsibility'.
