Police charged five people on Wednesday, July 11, after raiding 19 properties across Sydney’s central metropolitan region and seizing more than 2,200 cannabis plants, valued at $6.2 million.Police said four men and one woman involved in “organised crime” were charged after they were arrested in Bankstown, Yagoona, Strathfield and Hurstville.Hydroponic houses typically have strong security measures such as vicious dogs and fences, increased use of electricity and water, condensation on windows and disposal of large amounts of garbage, according to police.
