Bank of Korea keeps key interest rate at 1.5%

The Bank of Korea has kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged at one-point-five percent for July.
The freeze came at the first monetary policy meeting for the second half of 2018.
After raising its key rate by a quarter-of-a-percentage point last November -- the first rate hike in over six years -- the BOK has opted to stand pat yet again.

It's the first monetary policy meeting for the second half of 2018.
