Amdani Juma - Meet The Man

Amdani Juma has lived in the UK since 2003 when he was granted Humanitarian Protection after fleeing the ethnic violence and civil war in Burundi. Since 2003 he has worked tirelessly for the Terrence Higgins Trust. His ability to speak six languages fluently means that he is able to get his HIV awareness and prevention message to a wide range of vulnerable and hard to reach groups. Amdani was detained on May 30th 2008 pending deportation back to Burundi where he believes he will be killed.
