According to Reuters, an escalating trade war between the US and China over tariffs is dragging the Dow Jones down.
Before noon on June 19th, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost its gains on-the-year for the second time in 2018.
But the losses experienced on Wall Street in February have been attributed to a massive market correction after a year of unprecedented growth.
Four months later the Dow Jones is back under 25,000, having lost 284 points on the day.
